Randomness is part of life.
Think HRV. The beats over time are in a rhythm, but the time between beats is variable. The more variable, the better.
I’d say the same for strumming a guitar. Through the song, the strumming stays on the rhythm, but it would sound strange if played by a robot with perfect timing.
The sun. Circadian rhythms. Walking speed. There’s a pattern, but not on a strict schedule.
The sun doesn’t care about what time it is. It doesn’t rise at the same time every day. On any given morning, it rises at slightly different times for everyone.
Optimization culture would have people believe that we operate rhythms by a clock. By a metronome to perfection.
If a heartbeat has no variability, it’s not beating at all.
